This course begins with an overview of how the thyroid gland works, and how thyroid disease is diagnosed. There’s an emphasis on the signs and symptoms of thyroid disease, the medical management, lifestyle changes the patient can make, nursing intervention, and patient education. It includes a reference chart for nursing intervention and patient education.
